Who we are
Second Stitch Foundation was founded by Taylor Shupe, a visionary entrepreneur and advocate for justice-impacted individuals.
Taylor co-founded Stance, the global sock brand that turned a forgotten accessory into a fashion statement, and later founded FutureStitch, an innovative knitwear manufacturer focused on sustainability and social impact.
At FutureStitch, Taylor prioritizes hiring formerly incarcerated individuals, providing not just jobs but mentorship, training, and stability. Through this work, he saw a deeper issue- the cycle of incarceration often continues through generations. Many of his employees had children facing the same barriers that led to their parents’ incarceration.
To stop that cycle, Taylor launched Second Stitch Foundation, offering entrepreneurship training, career development, and mentorship to justice-impacted youth and adults.
